Dr Alan Rae has been involved in marketing since 1977. He has worked both as a marketing professional and as an owner manager of 4 businesses. His experience includes market research, new product development, sales and sales management and promoting small companies electronically. He has run many exhibition stands and workshops, managed the production of literature, organised mail and e-shots and even written web site and direct mail copy. During a 4 year sabbatical in the Business Link he got used to delivering workshops and finding out how you do business the official way as well as the small business way.

In Alan’s courses you get the useful bits of the authorised version blended with 25 years of practical experience of marketing small companies (and some big ones) in the fields of heavy engineering, IT and training and consultancy.

Alan is currently chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s South East Regional Board and is a chartered marketer and an Associate Member of the Market Research Society.
